Pearl Eileen Primus (Novem – Octo ) was an American dancer, choreographer and played an important role in the presentation of African dance to American audiences. Early in her career she saw the need to promote African dance as an art form worthy of study and : Novem , Port of Spain, . Thomas Percival was the son of Joseph Percival of Warrington and his wife Margaret Orred of Newton in Cheshire.
